Will Netflix’s ‘The Perfect Couple’ return for season two? Here’s what we know.

Nicole Kidman and Liev Schreiber in Netflix’s “The Perfect Couple.”

Netflix always billed the show as a miniseries, but the cast is seemingly keen to return for a second season.

When speaking to USA Today, Nicole Kidman (Greer Winbury) and Schreiber (Tag) expressed an interest in exploring the couple’s dynamic in a new season.

Kidman said: “Wait and see, I think it’s ripe,” adding: “When you see the final episode and she sort of says, ‘Listen, let’s just say it like it was,’ that was really fun actually, to be able to do that, just rip the Band-Aid off. I think there’s still an enormous amount of history and an enormous amount of future.”

Schreiber added: “They’re taking a break for now, but who knows?”

Meanwhile, showrunner Jenna Lamia told Town & Country: “If all the elements came together and everybody was enthusiastic and the idea was inspiring enough to gather the same group of talented people together again, I think it’s something that’s possible.

“I would never say it’s impossible. There are definitely questions left at the end. The best shows — regardless if they’re going to do another season — leave you thinking after you’ve watched the final one.”

The real question is how successful “The Perfect Couple” season two would be without the safety of existing source material to fall back on.
