Why we like it
Even without mopping capabilities, the self-emptying Roomba j7+ is still one of the best Roombas that you could bring home — and it’s somehow still nearly 50% off the week after Prime Day. (And for reference, its sale price during Prime Day was only $10 lower.) The j7 was the first Roomba to wield a front-facing camera and iRobot’s stellar small obstacle avoidance technology, which I have found to be the most accurate of all the robot vacuums I’ve tested. On top of reliably smart mapping my apartment, the j Series Roombas have had next to no run–ins with phone chargers, extension cords, or socks, and iRobot guarantees they’ll steer clear of pet waste. (No Shark robot vacuum can do this yet.)
