50 Cent is making a documentary about the allegations against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. Here’s their 18-year beef explained.

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Sean “Diddy” Combs have been feuding since the early 2000s.

  • Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested on September 16 following a grand jury indictment.
  • 50 Cent confirmed he’s working with Netflix on a documentary about the allegations against Combs.
  • Here’s the beef between 50 Cent and Diddy, explained.

With Sean “Diddy” Combs in jail over charges including sex trafficking, 50 Cent is gleefully fanning the flames of their two-decade feud.

The beef between the two rappers publicly kicked off in 2006 when 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, released a diss track called “The Bomb,” which accused Combs of knowing who shot and killed The Notorious B.I.G. in 1997.

Since then, the pair have taken numerous jabs at one another. In 2010, for example, Combs described 50 Cent as a “hating ass crap” after he became the manager of Rick Ross in 2009 — another rapper that 50 Cent had beef with.

When the news dropped in November 2023 that Combs’ ex-partner Cassie Ventura filed a lawsuit accusing him of rape, sexual assault, and human trafficking (which Combs quickly settled), by December 50 Cent’s production company had started work on a documentary about the allegations.

He later posted a clip from the documentary featuring the Bad Boy Records rapper Mark Curry alleging that Combs spiked girls’ drinks at parties.

Now as Combs awaits trial after being arrested on September 16 over three felony charges, all of which he denies, 50 Cent confirmed to Variety on Wednesday that he’s making the documentary for Netflix. It’s unclear when it will be released.

50 Cent taunted Combs when he was arrested

When the details of a federal indictment emerged, alleging that law enforcement seized narcotics and more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant during the March raids on Combs’ mansions, 50 Cent wasn’t silent for long.

He wrote on X: “Here I am keeping good company with @DrewBarrymoreTV and I don’t have 1,000 bottles of lube at the house.”

50 Cent also taunted Combs’ after the authorities raided his mansions

This came after 50 Cent taunted Combs over the mansion raids. In a since-deleted Instagram post, he shared a screenshot of a TMZ article about the raids and wrote: “Now it’s not Diddy do it, it’s Diddy Done. They don’t come like that unless they got a case.”

Page Six reported 50 Cent also posted a screenshot of Combs’ two sons in handcuffs, but the picture was deleted.

In the caption, he wrote: “Shit just got real. The Fed’s in all the cribs, damn they got the kids in cuffs.”

In December, Combs posted a statement on X saying: “Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family, and for the truth.”

Representatives for 50 Cent and Combs did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Business Insider.
